Dirt Bike Live is adding a taste of Portuguese adventure to its growing exhibitor line-up, with off-road motorcycle holiday specialists Intrepid Trails confirmed for the event at the NEC Birmingham.
Based in Figueira da Foz on Portugal’s Silver Coast, Intrepid Trails offers guided dirt bike holidays designed to give riders the opportunity to experience everything from flowing trails and single track to technical climbs, sand dunes, beaches and motocross tracks.
Founded by lifelong bike enthusiasts Steve and Debbie Hughes, Intrepid Trails was built around a simple idea: take the best parts of riding dirt bikes and turn them into an experience people can share.
It’s an ethos that fits naturally with Dirt Bike Live.
While motorcycles, products and the latest developments from across the industry will form an important part of the event, Dirt Bike Live is ultimately about what brings the off-road community together in the first place: riding.
Intrepid Trails represents the experiences that exist beyond the paddock, track or local riding spot and demonstrates just how far a shared love of dirt bikes can take people.
Operating in an area known for its varied terrain and year-round riding climate, Intrepid Trails offers one, two and three-day riding packages, with routes tailored around the ability and experience of each group. Riders use a fleet of Sherco 250, 300 and 450cc machines, with riding equipment, guides and support forming part of the experience.
Steve Hughes, Intrepid Trails, said:
“Dirt bikes have taken us to some incredible places and introduced us to some brilliant people over the years, and that’s really what Intrepid Trails is about. We want people to come to Portugal, ride great bikes on incredible terrain and have the sort of experience you end up talking about long after you’ve gone home.
“Dirt Bike Live brings together exactly the community we love being part of, so we’re really looking forward to being in Birmingham, meeting riders and showing people what’s waiting for them out here on the Silver Coast. Hopefully we’ll inspire a few of them to make Portugal their next riding destination.”

Matt Bates, Dirt Bike Live, said:
“One of the things we’ve always wanted Dirt Bike Live to celebrate is everything that comes from being part of the dirt bike world. Of course people want to see new bikes and kit, but ultimately all of it comes back to riding them, the places they take you and the people you meet because of them.
“Intrepid Trails brings a completely different element to the show because they’re selling an experience rather than something you put in the garage. You can walk onto their stand in Birmingham and potentially walk away planning your next dirt bike adventure in Portugal. That’s exactly the breadth we want Dirt Bike Live to have.
“We want someone to spend a day with us and leave wanting to ride more, try something different or go somewhere they’ve never ridden before. Intrepid Trails fits that perfectly.”
The addition of Intrepid Trails continues to expand the variety of businesses represented at Dirt Bike Live, bringing together not only motorcycle manufacturers, equipment and products, but the experiences and opportunities that keep people riding.
Because the dirt bike industry isn’t just about what you ride.
It’s about where it can take you.
